Sparaxis tricolor
Sparaxis tricolor is one of many bulbs endemic to the Bokkeveld Plato. The genus Sparaxis has for centuries been grown and hybridized overseas. The flowers can be seen in September/October on the farm Bikoes on the Grasberg road. This Sparaxis is a parent of all the modern hybrids that can now be bought worldwide. Bikoes is one of the places on the Bokkeveld Plato where the largest variety of bulbs can be seen. Collect a map from us and we will direct you to where these flowers can be seen.
